end of term schools visits
Rounding up her last set of schools visits before the summer holidays Marianne was delighted to be asked to visit a local weekly get together for home-educated children.
Co-ordinator Jackie said this:
” We had a great visit from Marianne to our kids’ social group today. The children were transfixed by the story of Violet & Spike and their ‘Mystery in History,’ as they travel through 1940’s war-torn London, looking for missing pets. The book is written in rhyme and fast-paced and gripping from start to finish. It’s beautifully produced, with lovely illustrations.
NINE YEAR OLD BLOGGER, WHAT LUKE DID NEXT, REVIEWS ‘ON THE TRAIL OF THE MISSING PETS’
On the Trail is written for 6-12 year olds so Marianne jumped at the chance of having her book officially reviewed by a children’s blogger on his site What Luke Did Next. You can read what he says HERE and find out exactly what he thought!
Live music, Lindy Hop dancers and a special appearance by Spike the dog for pawtographs all featured in the launch of ‘On the Trail of the Missing Pets’ recently on the Isle of Wight. Throughout the day Marianne was joined by Isle of Wight based children’s author and illustrator Zoe Sadler for readings and book signings. Read more HERE.
